Processing of personal data
Personal data of customers and visitors to the website are carefully handled and secured by Verdala. We thereby adhere to the requirements set by the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG).
Verdala rents out holiday accommodations from third parties to Dutch holidaymakers and provides information about the accommodations, parks and environment in which this park is located. Verdala records personal data when booking these accommodations. This data is also used for Verdala’s internal business operations, such as financial management, management and policy purposes. In addition, the data can be used for conducting marketing research and research for the service provision, compliance with any legal obligations and accountability to third parties.
Verdala only collects the personal data that is required for booking the trip. Depending on the relationship that the traveller has with Verdala, your data will be included in separate personal data processing. The controller for these processes is:

The Verdala customer
If you use the Verdala website, no information about you will be recorded in the first instance. By creating an account or by making a reservation, we must record some information about you in order to perform these tasks. These are in particular:
Personal details, characteristics and contact details of the traveller;
In the event of a reservation, we share your personal data with the campsite, park or resort owner and/or owner of the accommodation.
Recording of data in case of complaints and incidents
We can also record data in the event of complaints or incidents of violence, such as intimidation, aggression and violence against employees or employees of campsites, resorts and parks. In the event of incidents of violence, this is mainly to safeguard the good order and safety of employees and customers. Interests that weigh heavily for Verdala. In that case, it may be necessary for Verdala to record information about the incident, such as the name of the person who has disrupted safety or good order in such a way that measures in the form of a visitors ban are required. Data about campsites, parks and resorts
In addition to data from customers, we also keep some data from the campsite, resort and park owners where the accommodations are located. This includes the contact details of the owner and the campsite/park/resort.
Capturing data from online visitors
You can consult the Verdala website anonymously. Verdala is not interested in names or other information that says anything about the identity of the website visitors. Statistical data that says something about the use of this website and that is important for improving the website is collected. This information can be used to put more targeted information on the site. In this way, Verdala can further optimize its services to you. No personal data is recorded.
Verdala uses the IP address of your computer for this. This IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you visit the internet. IP addresses are not linked to identifiable information from visitors and are used to see what use is made of the website.
If you respond by e-mail via this website outside office hours, the information you provide will be used to respond to your question or request for information.
Your privacy rights
You have the right to request us to:
allow access to your personal data;
have your personal data corrected if they are incorrect or deleted;
to object to the processing of your personal data;
to limit the processing of your personal data;
pass on your personal data to you or to a third party; and/or
withdraw any previously given permission.
These rights are in many cases subject to conditions, and therefore not absolute. With a request, we will provide you with information about the actions we have taken as a result of your request as soon as possible, but in any case within one month of receiving your request.
We can extend this period by two months if your request is complex. We will inform you in that case.
You can submit your request, such as a request for perusal or improvement of the data, in writing. In order to comply with your request, we must be able to establish your identity. You must, therefore, enclose a copy of your proof of identity or passport with your request. We ask you to shield the BSN number and your photo or to make it black. You can also use a special app from the central government for that purpose.
